The holidays are right around the corner. With all those dinners, receptions, formals, gala’s going around this time of the year. How do you find the time to shop? And you haven’t even thought about what gifts you’re going to buy for everybody. I’m usually running around in the city the last minute, trying to figure out what to buy. Let me help you out a little bit. Is your girlfriend a flight attendant? Lucky you btw!😉 Or maybe a sister or a mom? Check out this list with the best Christmas gifts for flight attendants.
Packing cubes are a must-have for frequent travellers! I swear by them. They keep my suitcase organised and they help to pack efficiently. Especially with limited space or when travelling with only hand luggage. This set comes in many nice colours and it also has 2 transparent bags for liquids.
This toiletry bag is ideal to keep all ‘bathroom items’ together. No need to mess around with all different items everywhere in the bathroom. This bag can be easily opened and hanged on a door, keeping all bathroom stuff together in one place.
This seems like a rather strange gift for a flight attendant. But believe me. Almost every flight attendant has one. We use a hot water bottle to keep us warm during our break time when sleeping in the crew rest. This water bottle is very soft and snuggly.
This is my personal favourite when travelling. This palette is exactly the right size and has the exact amount of different colours to create plenty of eye looks. The eye shadows are pigmented and super blendable. These shades go with every skin tone. The eyeshadows are not too soft and crumbly, which means no broken pans (if you pack it properly).
Another personal favourite I had to add to the list. Flight attendants need a watch when working. We have to check the time a lot during the flight to keep up with our service schedule. I personally love this wrist band and the clockwork has a perfect size. However, they have other colours too. This watch is a handy, classy and beautiful gift.
It’s hard to pick a lipstick shade for someone. So why not save yourself the trouble and settle with this Anastasia Beverly Hills Holiday Set that has 10 different matte lipstick colours! They come in a mini size which makes them easy to bring along when travelling.
First of all, it’s always better to use less plastic and paper cups on board. Gotta help the environment where you can! But nothing beats sipping coffee or tea from your own mug. This thermos mug keeps coffee or tea hot during a long night flight. It comes in all different colours, but this cute pink one is definitely my favourite.
Flying around the world every time with so many different colleagues, while meeting so many different people and exploring so many great places is the best job in the world. We make a lot of great memories in so many beautiful places. Even when travelling daily is our normal life, writing everything down or logging every flight in a travel journal is still a great old fashioned (I’m an 80’s baby) way to keep memories alive.
Flight attendants always need to look their best at work or when hitting mojito happy hour in Rio or New York😉. This Mr. Bunny Travel Kit from Sigma Beauty has all the essential brushes to get a flawless face and it also comes in a handy travel box. These brushes are a great gift together with the “Tartelette In Bloom” palette.
As flight attendants, we have a lot of time to kill between the meal service. Especially during night flights or delays. Readly is a monthly magazine subscription where unlimited magazines can be downloaded with the app. No need to carry around old fashioned magazines anymore. A great gift for a flight attendant, guaranteed! Use this link to get 2 months for only $0.99 and afterwards, you can get a subscription for only $9.99 per month.
This travel kit comes with all the essential bestsellers you need from The Balm in a mini travel size. This travel kit has mascara, bronzer, blush, highlighter and primer. All these products are amazing quality and it comes in this handy little transparent pouch. Use code ‘sarahshireen’ on their website for a discount.
Ruby Woo from Mac Cosmetics is an iconic red lipstick. This colour suits everybody who likes to wear red lipstick when in uniform. This handy duo set comes with the matching Ruby Woo lipliner. The Mac lipsticks work the best when using their Mac Cosmetics Lip Prep and Prime. This trio together will create the perfect red pout!
‘The best Christmas gifts for flight attendants’ list needs to have an awesome hand lotion in it! The air on the plane is so dry, it leaves our skin dry too. A good moisturising hand lotion is the way to keep our hands soft and smooth. I find the hand lotions from Rituals one of the best. They smell great and absorbs quickly. This one is a personal favourite however, Rituals has many other great lotions in a gift set during the holidays.
Jewellery is always a great gift for a loved one. This silver bracelet is simple and beautiful. The little airplane at the end of the bracelet is the cute little detail which makes this gift perfect for a flight attendant.
Stila is another brand that has amazing liquid lipsticks that are long-lasting. Most importantly, they don’t leave the lips dry and uncomfortable. This set is a great trio of three nude liquid lipsticks for everyone who prefers a softer and nude lip.
Nothing beats a nice box of jewellery as a gift for Christmas. Most airlines do have some rules when it comes to jewellery when wearing our uniform. I’m only allowed to wear ear studs with my uniform. These pearl earrings from Swarosvki will definitely go with all uniform regulations. But most importantly, they will look beautiful and classic on everybody.
Elizabeth Arden’s 8 Hour Cream is another iconic product in the beauty world. I keep buying this cream every time. I use it for dry lips, cracked elbows or any dry patches on my skin. This cream does wonders. I know a lot of colleague flight attendants who swear by this cream. This set comes with different 8 Hour creams in a nice travel purse.
There are many phone case companies out there. Casetify has great phone cases that protect your phone from a fall. There are many cool designs to choose from. But the thing I like the best is that most designs are customizable. This example is one of my favourite for flight attendants! You can choose from different cities and add a personal note (I added my name).
This gift doesn’t need an explanation to make it into ‘the best Christmas gifts for flight attendants’ list. I refused an e-reader for a long time, but I have to admit. It’s so much easier to add ten books to an e-reader than carrying around ten books. Not only are they great for break time during the flight but they also work pretty well at the pool while sipping a cocktail.
Another personal favourite. A big frame with a world map poster or even a big canvas with a world map is a great gift for a flight attendant. There are even ones where you can pin the places where you’ve been. That would be a lot of pins for many flight attendants. This poster is one of my favourites and it comes in different colours.
Mario Badescu’s skincare products are amazing! This Facial Spray Travel Trio set is a great way to try out all different sprays. Facial sprays are great to use on the plane to hydrate your face, to refresh makeup during the day or just to add some moisture to the skin. I always use a facial spray when retouching my makeup during a flight or after applying my makeup in the morning.
I hope I gave you some great ideas on what to buy for a flight attendant or maybe at least give you some inspiration on where to look. If you’re still hesitating. Like I said before, it’s always nice to get jewellery or accessories. Any thought on this the best Christmas gifts for flight attendants list?
