Did I nail that down to 12 amazing beauty products flight attendants can’t live without? As a flight attendant for over eight years, I’ve learned some of the best beauty tricks and tips.
I’ve seen which beauty products are a must-have for fellow cabin crew. And, of course, there’s a long list of beauty and skincare products I have also tried myself.
Instead of giving you an endless list of must-have beauty products, I thought to provide you with a compilation of the best beauty products flight attendants use to look flawless during a twelve-hour night flight.
And I’ve nailed it down to 12 amazing beauty products flight attendants can’t live without.
Are you unsure what products to use for your twelve-hour international flight as a fellow cabin crew? Or do you want to know the secrets to flawless makeup from women who must look their best at work?
The form you have selected does not exist.
Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentré
This French moisturizer has been a well-known staple item in the beauty world. It was created to suit every skin type.
This moisturizer has a great consistency and is not too thick or greasy. It works great on your skin while up in the air battling the dry air from the aircon. The formula sinks into the skin fast and leaves a nice, dewy glow.
The Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentré is excellent to apply on top of your makeup to moisturize your skin. How? I rub an amount in my hands and press it onto my face. My skin instantly feels hydrated and looks dewy again.
Some makeup artists have been using Embryolisse as a makeup primer too. Your makeup will last longer when using Embryolisse.
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream
Another holy grail in the beauty world and a must in the list with 12 amazing beauty products flight attendants can’t live without!
The Eight Hour Cream from Elizabeth Arden became a staple item for everything dry and cracked. Think hands, elbows, knees, and lips.
When working onboard for such long hours, skin gets dry. Sometimes, it’s really dry. The Eight Hour Cream protects and hydrates the skin for eight hours.
It’s also great for in the OCR (crew rest). Up in the crew rest, the air is drier, and it can be pretty cold. The air can get so dry it’s uncomfortable on my nose, lips, and throat.
Before getting into my little bed, I take a small amount and dab it on my under-eye area, on my lips, and inside my nose (think Vicks when you’re sick). If you’re a flight attendant, you know why!
Trust me. You’ll feel the difference when you wake up from your rest.
YSL Touch Eclat Concealer
It’s one of the best concealers out there and so worth the price! This concealer reflects lights to lighten up any dark areas. The formula is smooth and thin with good coverage.
For some makeup products, it’s just better to take them off and reapply them. However, as a cabin crew, it’s hard to remove everything and put on a full face of makeup again.
The YSL Touch Eclat Concealer is lightweight and blends seamlessly over your makeup. Perfect for the under-eye area! It will give you an instant lift, and your appearance will look brighter and refreshed.
The pen is also super handy for traveling and easy to use. Apply a small amount on your under-eye area, the sides of your nose, and between your eyebrows for an instant lifted look.

Pixi Glow Face Mist
An excellent hydrating face mist is a must-have on long-haul flights. A face mist keeps your makeup fresh and prevents skin from getting dry and uncomfortable.
Even if your skin type is more oily, a face mist will still benefit you. As said before, the air on an airplane is dry because of the aircon.
The Pixi Glow Face Mist is made to refresh makeup, hydrate, and add a glow. What more do we want? I spray my face every few hours to refresh and lock the moisture in. Especially after the crew rest, it’s a must-have.
It feels nice on the skin, and the smell is fantastic. Face mists are also helpful for melting your makeup into your skin, especially when using powders.
La Neige Lip Sleeping Mask
Sometimes, a beauty product made for a specific purpose is precisely what we need.
La Neige is a Korean skincare brand that has conquered the beauty world. We all know by now how effective Korean skincare can be. This La Neige Lip Sleeping Mask became a holy grail for many.
I have been using this lip mask at night, in the morning when I wake up, and during my rest on board.
Take off any applied lipstick and moisturize your lips with this lip mask while resting. Your lips will feel soft and prepped for a pretty pout when you wake up.
The treatment also leaves a nice shine like a lip balm.
Kiehls Creamy Eye Treatment
A dry under-eye with fine lines or some wrinkles is something we barely can’t prevent when aging. However, we can try to slow down the process.
Proper skincare with anti-ageing properties is an essential beauty item, especially for cabin crew! The long flying hours through different time zones and skipping nights can take their toll.
The Kiehls Creamy Eye Treatment is a rich and creamy formula that keeps the under-eye area moisturized and hydrated.
It might be a small jar, but just a pie size is enough to cover your under-eye area fully. Apply this under your eye during the flight or while taking a rest.
Maybe it’s me, but my eye area feels softer, with fewer fine lines.
Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint
As flight attendants, we always have a pretty pout with our uniforms. Finding the perfect lipstick was a super challenging task!
After trying a million different lipsticks and asking my fellow cabin crew what they love, I’ve nailed it down to a few.
But if you ask me what my holy grail is? I can tell you there’s only one!
The Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint has been one hell of a discovery! This liquid lipstick doesn’t smudge, feels super lightweight, feels comfortable on the lips, doesn’t feel dry, comes in a ridiculous amount of colors, and doesn’t break the bank.
What more do we want?!
I have super dry lips and struggle with liquid lipsticks. I want a long-lasting stay, but I can’t stand it when my lips feel uncomfortable and look dry because the formula starts to crack.
The Tarte Liquid Lipstick is a life changer.
Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray
It’s always fun to see beauty products used by many other cabin crew. When compiling this list of 12 amazing beauty products flight attendants can’t live without, the All-Nighter Spray was one of the first products that came to my mind.
We all want our makeup to look as good as possible for many hours. We also don’t like smudging or transferring on our collars. While some makeup transfer can’t be prevented, this setting spray does a good job.
Use the Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray after you’ve finished your makeup routine and removed all the excess makeup (dab a tissue onto your face). The setting spray will blend the makeup into your skin and will leave a layer so your makeup will look amazing after hours.
Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream
Another beauty item cabin crew can’t live without when working. Hand Cream! Our hands are subject to dry air, cold water, and hot water, and we use them all day long.
When picking up waste after meal service, even our gloves leave our hands dry and flaky. It’s the worst feeling—dry, cracked, and rough feeling hands.
The Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream is a great hand cream for a budget price. The formula hydrates and leaves your hands feeling nice and soft. There’s also an unscented version available here!
Carmex Classic Lip Balm
Using a lip balm is not only a must-have when flying but also very useful daily. I’ve tried many lip balms along the way. But discovering Carmex was like finding gold!
This Carmex Classic Lip Balm version, which resembles a classic chapstick, gives your lips that extra surge of hydration underneath lipstick or liquid lipstick. It’s great as a lip primer, and it also works great on top of your liquid lipstick after a while when it could use a little moisture.
The Carmex Lip Balm Tube version is excellent as a lip balm. The formula is shinier, making it perfect as a lip gloss. If you use it on top of lipstick, it will give it a glossy finish.
After discovering Carmex, I stopped buying anything else. I have one in most of my bags.
The Balm Schwing Liquid Eye Liner
Let’s talk eyeliner! My signature look has been a winged eyeliner for almost two decades now. So, to say that I know it all when it comes to doing winged eyeliner and the products you’ll need to achieve that is an understatement.
Trust me.
The Balm Schwing Liquid Eyer Liner is the perfect eyeliner for a winged liner or even just a baby wing. The formula is waterproof, matte, and super black.
The pencil is fantastic, even for beginners! The tip is not too hard and sturdy (like some eyeliner pencils), and it has the perfect amount of flexibility you need to create a nice, sharp wing.
The thin pencil also creates a good guideline on where to start drawing your winged eyeliner. If this doesn’t make sense, leave me a comment below!😉
Even after sleeping in the crew rest, my eyeliner still looks sharp and hasn’t smudged across my face!
Estee Lauder Daywear Sheer Tint
Sometimes, there are days when you don’t want to put on a full face of makeup. Letting your skin breathe and skip the heavy stuff is good, too, now and then.
For those days, we have the Estee Lauder Daywear Sheer Tint moisturizer! This moisturizer is another beauty skincare staple item in the flight attendant world.
This product has a sheer tint that adapts to your skin tone and blends well. It leaves this dewy glow while giving a subtle tint to the skin. Basically, it makes your skin look like natural skin but much better.
When I’m going for a no-makeup look, I use the Estee Lauder Daywear Sheer Tint Moisturiser. It’s a must-have and absolutely worth the splurge!
