My skincare routine

Hello loves!

Hope everyone is having an awesome week! Another beauty post today about my current skincare routine and the products I use. My skin is sensitive when it come to products. It’s very upsetting sometimes because I’m always scared to buy a higher end product. You spend all that money to find out that it doesn’t work for your skin. So that’s why I’m using mostly drugstore products that are working out fine for me.

Let start with my skin type. My skin used to be very dry. My t-zone would be normal, but the rest would be dry. When I got out of the shower my skin would feel tight en very uncomfortable. But the last couple of years my skin has changed. My skin is less dry and my t-zone is more oily. I can even get out of the shower and go to bed without using a moisturizer (which I don’t by the way). I guess it’s a part of getting older.

So what kind of products do I use?

I like to clean my makeup off with a cleansing wipe. I am a little bit lazy and a couple of years I wouldn’t even take my makeup off properly until I woke up the next morning. Bad! Yes I know. Lately I have been a really good girl when it comes to cleaning off my makeup. Cleansing wipes are perfect for that. The ones I use are the Coconut Care facial cleansing wipes from Action. I believe they costs around €1 a pack which contain 25 wipes. Such a steel! The wipes smell great (I am a coconut freak) and my makeup comes off perfectly. The wipes softens and soothes normal to dry skin. You can even use these wipes for your eyes and the eye area. Afterwards it’s not necessary to rinse your face. I use two cleansing wipes to get everything off.

Action – Coconut Care facial cleansing wipes €1.00

After using the cleansing wipes I use the Garnier Micellar cleansing water all in one. I use this as an extra step to make sure that everything is off and to clean my skin. This cleansing water is meant for all skin types. After using this my skin doesn’t feel tight. I have been using this product since a couple of months and I’m really loving it. I use the cleansing water twice, in the evening and in the morning after my shower.

Garnier Micellar cleansing water €6.50

After using the Garnier micellar cleansing water I’m using the Nivea Q10 plus serum pearls and the Nivea Q10 plus day cream. They both have the same purpose. It fights wrinkles and reduces their appearances. The texture is soft and not greasy. I have been using the day cream for almost 5 years and the serum since a couple of months. I use both of these products in the evening and in the morning. The day cream also has a spf 15 filter.

Nivea Q10 plus day cream €11.99 & Nivea Q10 serum pearls €15.99

Once a week I use a scrub to exfoliate my skin. A year ago I got a test package from the Vitamin C Microdermobrasion from the Bodyshop to try out. This stuff is great! Unlike other face scrubs that are too harsh for my skin. The face scrub has fine exfoliating micro particles and crushed garnet stones that remove dead skin cells to reveal a brighter, more radiant complexion. It doesn’t dry out my skin and my skin feels soft afterwards.

Bodyshop – Vitamin C Microdermabrasion €19.00

This is my skincare routine and the products I use. What kind of products do you use? Any recommendations? Let me know in the comments below!

Love, Sarah
