Last weekend my Instagram and Facebook feed was exploding with pictures of the royal wedding of Prince Harry en Meghan Markle. I was at work, so I wasn’t able to watch it. But thank God for social media 😉 It was impossible to miss it. A lot of people were obssesing about Meghan Markle’s wedding makeup look weeks and weeks in advance.
I’m a die hard fan of Suits, so I did know a little about Meghan Markle in her role as Rachel Zane. Like the makeup she wears and her fashionstyle on the show. When I finally saw the pictures on Instagram, I was pleasantly suprised. It really looked like Meghan Markle barely didn’t have any makeup on. She looked flawless, dewy and natural. To me she just looked like herself on a great day without any makeup on😅 Her skin is already so perfect, she doesn’t need a lot of makeup to look good. The only thing I would like to have seen differently is the use of a little more concealer. A little bit more concealer to cover up the shadows underneath her eyes.
Personally I think that as a bride you want to look like a perfected version of yourself. The version where your skin is spotless, flawless, dewy, radiant and blushing. Unfortunately for me, my skin is not as perfect as Megan’s 😅 and I do need more coverage to look flawless. I tried to recreate Megan Markle’s royal wedding makeup look for you guys. The best thing is that I only used three eyeshadows from the same palette to get this soft brown smokey eye look!
This look was super easy to do. The focus was really on creating dewy natural looking skin. I really loveeee this look and it might be my new go to look! I didn’t use any highlighter for this look, accept the strobing cream as a base and as a highlighter. Too bad the glow is barely showing in my pics though!
